People with disabilities can receive up to 2295 PLN in funding from PFRON for a rehabilitation camp, alongside the right to take up to 21 days of paid leave from work.

Rehabilitation camp 2026 – who can use it?

Although many people equate a rehabilitation camp with a stay in a sanatorium, these are two different solutions. A rehabilitation camp lasts at least 14 days and takes place in groups of a minimum of 20 participants with similar needs resulting from the type of disability. In addition to rehabilitation treatments, it also includes activating, therapeutic, psychological, and integration classes. The aim of the camp is not only to improve physical fitness, but also to increase independence, social activity, and the quality of life of the participants.

The amount of funding for a rehabilitation camp depends on the degree of disability. Currently, the following amounts apply.

Who can receive funding from PFRON?

To receive funding, the income criterion must also be met, and if the income exceeds the limits, the funding is generally reduced accordingly, with exceptions for people in particularly difficult life or financial situations.

Funding for a caregiver on a rehabilitation camp

If a person with a disability requires assistance during daily functioning, a doctor may indicate in the referral the necessity for a caregiver to participate, provided the caregiver meets specific age and eligibility requirements.

Priority groups for rehabilitation camp funding

PFRON funds for rehabilitation camps are limited, which is why regulations provide priority for specific groups of people.

21 days of paid leave for a rehabilitation camp

An employee with a significant or moderate degree of disability can use paid time off from work to participate in a rehabilitation camp for a maximum of 21 working days a year, though unused days do not roll over to the next year.

How to get funding and what documents to submit to PCPR

Applications are submitted to the Poviat Family Support Center (PCPR) with required documents including a medical referral, a copy of the disability certificate, and an income statement, with PCPR having 30 days to process a complete application.

Important restrictions on PFRON financing

PFRON funds do not cover camps organized by ZUS, NFZ, or KRUS, and the final decision on granting funding also depends on the financial capabilities of the given local government.
