Warsaw Police Arrest 38-Year-Old Hooligan Linked to Drug Trafficking

Capital city police officers have arrested a 38-year-old man associated with Warsaw football hooligan circles after intercepting over six kilograms of marijuana with an estimated street value of 300,000 PLN.

Drug Trafficking Intercepted

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department’s anti-hooligan unit arrested a 38-year-old man in the Mokotów district. During the operation, police discovered two vacuum-sealed packages containing over six kilograms of marijuana inside the suspect’s vehicle.

The estimated market value of the confiscated narcotics is approximately 300,000 PLN. The suspect, known to be linked to local football hooligan environments, was taken into police custody following the discovery.

Evidence and Prosecution

A search of the suspect’s apartment yielded additional quantities of drugs, a heat-sealer, and an identity card belonging to another person. These items were secured as evidence by the investigators.

The man appeared before the Warsaw-Mokotów District Prosecutor’s Office, where he faced three charges, including the transport of a significant amount of narcotics with the intent to distribute. Because he has a prior criminal record for similar offenses, he will be tried as a repeat offender.

Judicial Remand

Following the prosecutor’s request, the court has ordered the 38-year-old to be held in temporary detention for three months. This arrest marks another successful operation by the Metropolitan Police in targeting illegal activities within the Warsaw hooligan subculture.
