Ostrołęka police, aided by counter-terrorism units, apprehended a 40-year-old man wanted for organized crime and fraud on April 15th.
Fugitive Apprehended After Manhunt
Police in Ostrołęka, with support from counter-terrorism units from Radom and Olsztyn, arrested a 40-year-old man who was the subject of an arrest warrant.
The man was wanted in connection with participation in an organized criminal group and fraud. Information suggested he may be armed and dangerous.
Intensive Search and Planned Operation
Following the issuance of an arrest warrant by the District Court in Ostrołęka, police began an intensive search for the 40-year-old resident of Ostrołęka.
Investigators determined the suspect might be at a residence in Ostrołęka, prompting the involvement of counter-terrorism units due to concerns about potential danger and the possibility he was armed. The operation, which began around 9:00 AM on Wednesday, April 15th, was carefully planned and involved a trained police dog.
Successful Arrest and Transfer to Prison
After a forced entry into the apartment, officers subdued and arrested the 40-year-old fugitive. He was then taken to the Ostrołęka City Police Headquarters for processing.
The arrested man has been transferred to a correctional facility to serve a sentence of 4 years and 6 months.
