Polish media priest Tadeusz Rydzyk voiced sympathy for a Rzeszów prosecutor in a December 8 probe while critiquing Polish politics after addressing 34th‑anniversary guests at Radio Maryja in Toruń.
34th Anniversary of Radio Maryja
In Toruń’s multipurpose hall, celebrations marking Radio Maryja’s 34th birthday concluded with speeches, a closing ceremony, and letters read from PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński and President Karol Nawrocki.
Rydzyk’s Address to the Faithful
Director Tadeusz Rydzyk spoke to gathered believers, emphasizing the need for community, mutual understanding, and love, urging Poles not to ridicule each other but to get to know one another.
Upcoming Rzeszów Prosecutor’s Probe
Rydzyk said he was not angry about the scheduled December 8 hearing by the Rzeszów prosecutor’s office, expressing sympathy for the “unfortunate” prosecutor and praising the city’s people.
KAS Complaint Over Museum Deal
He recalled the 2018 agreement between the Ministry of Culture and Rydzyk’s Lux Veritatis foundation to establish the Museum “Memory and Identity” in Toruń, noting that the Mazowiecka National Tax Administration sent a notice alleging that the Minister of Culture failed to safeguard state treasury interests regarding the museum, citing unfavorable financial clauses and a nearly 219 million‑PLN sum.
Controversial Closing of the Speech
Rydzyk’s final remarks provoked laughter when he urged ministers for a “clean‑up” in Poland, thanked the President, judges, and prosecutors, and addressed the PiS politicians, including those from the presidential office, while adding a call to support the sick and a chant of “Alleluja” before concluding.
