In Kraków, Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski abandoned a book‑talk event after demonstrators shouted anti‑Israel slogans, forcing an early closing.
Kraków author event derailed by protest
Radosław Sikorski was scheduled to discuss his new book at Kraków’s Klubu Pod Jaszczurami. Audience members questioned him on the Ukraine war and relations with President Karol Nawrocki. A protester unfurled a Palestinian flag and shouted “Free Palestine!, Shame!, Israel is committing genocide.”
Security officers escorted the protester from the venue and, after brief attempts at dialogue, the meeting was closed early. Sikorski was escorted out by bodyguards and did not respond to the disruptions.
Similar disruption at Warsaw University
In early November, a student with a Palestinian flag interrupted Sikorski’s speech at the University of Warsaw during a UN 80th‑anniversary conference. “Sikorski supports genocide,” the student declared.
Sikorski asked security to remove her, but defended the right to free expression: “We are on a university. Freedom to hold different views is vital.” The student was eventually escorted from the hall.
Minister’s silence on incidents
Since the Kraków incident, Sikorski has yet to publicly address the protests or the university confrontation, leaving the public to speculate on his official stance.
