Intoxicated Cyclist Arrested With 4.0 Promil Alcohol Level and Court-Ordered Ban

On May 18, Przasnysz traffic police stopped a 31-year-old cyclist in Chorzele after his erratic riding revealed he was operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol level of nearly 4.0 promil.

Dangerous Conduct on Witos Street

On May 18 at approximately 3:25 PM, traffic officers patrolling Witos Street in Chorzele observed a cyclist whose unsteady path indicated potential intoxication. Upon stopping the individual, a breathalyzer test confirmed that the 31-year-old resident of the Przasnysz district had nearly 4.0 promil of alcohol in his system.

Violation of Judicial Prohibition

A subsequent check of police databases revealed that the man was under an active court-ordered ban prohibiting him from operating bicycles. Police officers prohibited the man from continuing his journey and initiated formal legal proceedings against him.

Authorities emphasize that even small amounts of alcohol impair reaction times and concentration, posing significant danger to all road users. Officials urge the public to intervene and prevent intoxicated individuals from operating any type of vehicle to avoid potential tragedies.
