TV Republika Targeted by Prank Food Deliveries to Jarosław Kaczyński’s Address

During a live broadcast on Wednesday evening, TV Republika staff received multiple fraudulent food delivery orders placed to the Warsaw home of Jarosław Kaczyński and another address in Katowice.

On-Air Harassment

On Wednesday, May 20, TV Republika presenter Jarosław Olechowski received calls from a food delivery worker attempting to verify an order for a kebab to be sent to Mickiewicza Street 49 in Warsaw. Shortly after, station staff were contacted by a pizzeria regarding a large order for the same location.

Olechowski noted that the station’s phone lines were overwhelmed by numerous calls, with pranksters using both the Warsaw address and another in Katowice. Station employees clarified they did not place these orders and requested that no further deliveries be accepted using their phone numbers.

Targeting a Political Residence

Staff members in the studio emphasized that the address on Mickiewicza Street is the residence of Jarosław Kaczyński in Warsaw’s Żoliborz district. These orders are being placed by unknown individuals through popular online delivery platforms without verification.

A Pattern of Systematic Harassment

The station maintains this is part of a broader, organized campaign against its journalists. Similar incidents involving the misuse of personal data and phone numbers were previously reported by public figures Sławomir Mentzen and Sławomir Cenckiewicz.

Mentzen recently stated that his firm’s phone number was used to harass Republika staff with mass pizza orders. Cenckiewicz also reported receiving delivery inquiries at 2:00 AM, confirming he would be taking legal action against the provocation.

False Alarms and Police Investigation

TV Republika has reported several instances of false emergency alerts, including claims of explosive devices or individuals at risk of suicide at the homes of station associates. Police previously announced the arrest of a 53-year-old man suspected of involvement in making these false reports.

Station representatives argue that state authorities have failed to act effectively, calling for an urgent investigation to identify the perpetrators and provide protection for the victims.
