Warsaw: Passenger Vehicle Strikes Cyclist on Ochota District Road

Cyclist Struck at Signalized Crossing

A serious collision occurred at the intersection of Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r. Street and Jerozolimskie Avenue in the Ochota district of Warsaw. The cyclist was hit by a driver in an Opel passenger vehicle at a marked bicycle crossing with traffic lights.

Initial findings indicate the driver of the Opel, used for passenger transport, struck the cyclist while she was on the designated bicycle lane.

Medical Response and Traffic Disruption

The cyclist sustained injuries and required medical assistance. Bystanders and police officers from a patrol unit who were nearby provided initial aid before paramedics transported the injured woman to a hospital.

Emergency services worked at the scene, causing traffic disruptions. Two lanes heading towards Banacha were blocked, leading to slower traffic flow near the intersection of Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r. Street and Jerozolimskie Avenue.
