Polish road crews will lay new asphalt on Washington Avenue starting 14 November, blocking traffic between Międzynarodowa Street and Wiatraczna roundabout until 17 November.

Washington Avenue Asphalt Works

Polish road crews will lay new asphalt on Washington Avenue beginning 14 November at 23:00, finishing 17 November at 04:00. Traffic between Międzynarodowa Street and the Wiatraczna roundabout will be blocked both directions. The work will focus on a slightly shorter stretch from the Kinowa intersection to the roundabout.

Affected Intersections and Traffic Controls

At the Washington roundabout toward Wiatraczna, drivers will move in two lanes; prohibition signs will appear after the Międzynarodowa intersection. The exit from Międzynarodowa on the Zwycięzców side will be a single lane, straight or left. Intersections between Washington Avenue and Kinowa, Miedzyborska, Grenadierów, Garibaldiego, and Modrzewiowa will be closed. A parallel side road between Kinowa and Miedzyborska will remain open. On Miedzyborska between Zbaraska and Washington, as well as the last Garibaldiego segment by Washington, traffic will flow in both directions.

Detour Routes

Detours are set via Zieleniecka and Grochowska streets. From the Wiatraczna, Ostrobramska or Rozłucka roundabouts, drivers will use the United States Street to Międzynarodowa and Washington Avenue. From Saskijska street, the detour leads via Zwycięzców and Francuska to the Washington roundabout.

Public Transport Adjustments

Trams will run unchanged. On Saturday and Sunday the 158 bus line will be suspended, and line 521 will operate on a shorter route between Falenica and Wiatraczna. Line 135 will be redirected via Grochowska street and the United States Street. Night bus N24 will travel along Zieleniecka and through Zamoyskiego and Grochowska to Wiatraczna.

Kraków Avenue Repairs

From 14 to 16 November, road crews will work on Kraków Avenue from the S2 expressway to the city border, closing two lanes on each side. Works start 14 November at 22:00; both sides will have the right and central lanes closed. Road barriers will be placed beyond the fuel station entrance toward Warsaw. Three lanes will reopen at the Gałczyńskiego intersection in Raszyn. To the south, lanes will be fenced from Na Skraju to Stoicka. Vehicles will be able to reach their residences. During the works, drivers will use a single lane on each side.

At the intersection with Gałczyńskiego and Na Skraju, the exit onto Kraków Avenue will be closed; only a straight lane will be available. Works will finish 16 November at 23:00. A week later, the left lanes of this section will be scheduled for resurfacing.

Additional Bus Route Changes on Kraków Avenue

Bus line 124 will use Młynarska, Lotnicza, Wesoła, and Olszowa streets in Raszyn. Night bus N84 will not reach the Garden Loops (Ogrody Działkowe) at Na Skraju.
