Ziobro Speaks After Immunity Revoked: “I Won’t Let My Mouth Be Shut”

Former Polish justice minister Zbigniew Ziobro bared his criticism of the government after his parliamentary immunity was revoked, vowing he would not be silenced.

Criticizes Government for Politically Using Justice

Ziobro said Poland faces a government that seeks to stage political games and confront the opposition rather than solve citizens’ problems. He accused the ruling authority of presenting false accusations against opposition representatives, labeling them as harmful actors ready to destroy public order and other people.

Describes Investigation as an Element of Revenge

The former prosecutor general insisted that the proceedings against him are driven by revenge. He accused Donald Tusk and associates such as Sławomir Nowak, Roman Giertych, and Stanisław Gawłowski of retaliating because of his investigations that affected the interests of the current administration.

Vows Not to Be Silenced and Accuses Parliament of Misconduct

Ziobro declared he will not let the authorities close his mouth. He highlighted that the Sejm approved his detention despite a medical report stating he should not be imprisoned because of his health, and that he would continue political and legal actions to restore freedom, normality, and justice in Poland.

Accuses Leadership of Illegally Transferring Judicial Power

After the immunity was removed, Ziobro criticized the “obvious law” behind the decision, alleging that under Bodnar and later Zurek, the judiciary was taken over for political purposes. He warned that those who use the prosecutor’s office to persecute democratic opposition will eventually be held accountable.

Maintains Determination to Fight for Freedom

Stating that Poland will regain liberty “in its own time,” Ziobro reiterated that those responsible for destroying the state, spreading lies, and weaponising the prosecution will be brought to justice, and that his actions will continue until no one can silence him.
