51-Year-Old Arrested After Vandalizing Vehicles in Warsaw

Officers in the Włochy district of Warsaw apprehended a 51-year-old Ukrainian national minutes after he allegedly smashed the windows of two vehicles parked on Rejonowa Street.

Swift Police Intervention

Local police units received a report regarding an aggressive individual damaging two parked cars. The suspect had smashed the vehicle windows before fleeing the scene, prompting an immediate search of the area.

The responding officers from the Włochy precinct successfully located and detained the 51-year-old suspect within minutes of the initial call. He was subsequently transported to the police station and placed in a holding cell.

Charges and Legal Consequences

Following a review of the evidence by investigators the next day, the suspect was formally charged under Article 288, paragraph 1 of the Polish Penal Code. This offense, involving the destruction of property, carries a potential prison sentence ranging from three months to five years.

The case is currently under the supervision of the Warsaw Ochota District Prosecutor’s Office.
