False Rape Report Prompts Investigation at Prison Officer Training

A participant at a Polish Prison Service leadership course in Wejherowo falsely reported a rape, triggering a police response and internal inquiry.

False Allegation During Training

On the night of April 12-13, a participant in a Prison Service leadership training course in Wejherowo contacted police, claiming to have been raped by other officers.

Police were immediately dispatched to the location, but upon arrival, found that Prison Service superiors had already initiated an investigation.

The reporting individual subsequently withdrew his claim, stating that no crime had occurred and his report was the result of alcohol intoxication. A breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol content of over 2.7 per mille.

Disciplinary Proceedings Initiated

Authorities determined that the man’s roommates were also intoxicated. All individuals were staying at a training center where alcohol consumption is prohibited.

Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against the individual who made the false report. The Prison Service is also conducting an internal investigation to clarify the events.

The investigation will also determine if any participants consumed other intoxicating substances.
