Belarusian Murder Convict Deported After Illegal Stay in Poland

63-year-old Belarusian citizen serving time for murder is arrested and deported from Poland after illegally staying in the country.

Arrest and Illegal Stay

On Friday (March 6, 2026), officers from the Border Guard Station in Łódź arrested a 63-year-old Belarusian citizen immediately after he left the prison in Sieradz. The foreigner had been serving a prison sentence for murder.

During a check of his legal status, authorities determined that the man was in Poland illegally without a valid visa or other document authorizing his stay.

Deportation Decision

Due to concerns that his presence could pose a threat to security and public order, the Commander of the Border Guard Station in Łódź initiated administrative proceedings requiring his return. A decision was issued ordering him to leave Poland and imposing a 10-year ban on re-entry to the Schengen area.

Detention Pending Deportation

By court order, the Belarusian citizen was placed in a guarded center for foreigners, where he will remain until the deportation order is executed.
