Błaszczak Highlights Internal PiS Polling, Claims “Czarnak Effect”

Mariusz Błaszczak revealed internal PiS polling showing increased support following Przemysław Czarnak’s appointment, asserting party leader Jarosław Kaczyński “knew what he was doing.”

Błaszczak on the “Czarnak Effect” and PiS Polling

Radio ZET’s Bogdan Rymanowski questioned Mariusz Błaszczak about the perceived “Czarnak effect” within Law and Justice (PiS). Błaszczak maintained that a positive shift is observable both in meetings with voters and in party research.

Błaszczak stated that the polling commissioned by PiS indicates a rise in support for the party, attributing this to Jarosław Kaczyński’s decision to nominate Professor Przemysław Czarnak.

No Candidate Replacement Planned

Błaszczak dismissed the possibility of replacing the current candidate, stating they would not seek a “better model” or attempt to improve PiS’s polling numbers through such a change.

He also argued that a vote for Grzegorz Braun would weaken the PiS camp and ultimately benefit Donald Tusk.

Foreign Policy: Orbán, SAFE, and Tusk

Błaszczak discussed foreign policy, stating that Viktor Orbán’s victory in Hungary would be beneficial for Poland, emphasizing the importance of maintaining strong relations with Central European countries and strengthening the Visegrád Group.

He characterized Orbán’s political rivals as being akin to Donald Tusk, describing them as aligned with Brussels and Berlin. He expressed similar sentiments regarding the situation within the European Union and the role of Germany.

SAFE Dispute and Criticism of Kosiniak-Kamysz

Błaszczak revisited the dispute over SAFE, claiming that the opportunity for developing Polish armed forces was squandered by the rejection of PiS amendments. He criticized Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, alleging he “is afraid of his own shadow, and especially Donald Tusk.”

Fuel Prices Under PiS Rule

During the online portion of the program, Błaszczak was asked about potential fuel prices had PiS remained in power. He asserted that prices would be lower, stating he would reduce excise duties and VAT, and criticized Donald Tusk for specializing in such matters.

Błaszczak further attacked the current Prime Minister, speaking of a “drain on the pockets of Poles” and describing the situation as a “catastrophe” and “total collapse.”
