A collision between a Honda and an Audi on Piłsudskiego Street in Ząbki left one man dead and two others in critical condition after the Audi struck a utility pole and disintegrated.
The Sequence of the Collision
The incident occurred around 7:40 PM on Piłsudskiego Street, part of Provincial Road 631, near the intersection with Szwoleżerów Street. Preliminary findings indicate a ride-sharing Honda driver was attempting a U-turn from a right-turn lane when he collided with an Audi traveling in the same direction.
Impact and Vehicle Damage
Following the initial impact, the Audi veered off course, struck a utility pole, and rolled over. The force of the crash caused the vehicle to break apart, with debris subsequently damaging two Toyotas and a Ford traveling from the opposite direction.
Emergency Response and Casualties
The three occupants of the Audi, all young men, were severely injured. One was ejected from the vehicle, while another had to be extricated by firefighters using specialized equipment. Despite on-site resuscitation efforts and transport to the hospital, one man died, and the other two remain in critical condition.
Ongoing Investigation
Emergency services, including five fire brigades, five medical teams, and an air ambulance, responded to the scene. Police confirmed the Honda driver, a Turkish national, was sober. Authorities have blocked traffic on Provincial Road 631 while they continue to determine the exact circumstances of the crash and identify who was driving the Audi.
