Experienced Soldier Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Lutcza

A 48-year-old soldier from the 41st Training Aviation Base in Dęblin died on Friday, May 5, after his motorcycle struck a roadside cross in Lutcza, Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

Circumstances of the Fatal Accident

The incident occurred before 9:00 a.m. in the village of Lutcza, located in the Strzyżów County. According to preliminary police findings, the motorcyclist veered into the opposite lane on a bend in the road and collided with a roadside cross, likely due to a loss of control over the vehicle.

Victim Identified as Senior Warrant Officer

The victim, identified as Senior Warrant Officer Arkadiusz Czyżak, was transported to the hospital by an air ambulance, but his life could not be saved. The 41st Training Aviation Base in Dęblin confirmed the loss of the experienced soldier, whose death has deeply affected the military community.

Investigation and Military Tributes

Police have secured evidence at the scene, and an investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy is currently underway under the supervision of a prosecutor. The command and colleagues of the 41st Training Aviation Base have expressed their condolences, and the deceased will be laid to rest with full military honors.
