Three Police Officers Injured in Machete and Brass Knuckles Attack

Three officers from the Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime were injured in Warsaw’s Ursynów district on Friday morning after a 29-year-old man attacked them with a machete and brass knuckles.

The Incident in Ursynów

The attack occurred around 6:50 AM on Friday, July 10, in front of the Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime headquarters on Wąwozowa Street. A 29-year-old Polish citizen initiated the assault by attacking one of the officers before fleeing the scene.

Pursuit and Arrest

Two additional officers pursued the suspect, only to be attacked themselves upon locating him. In total, three officers sustained injuries, with one requiring hospital treatment, though reports indicate his injuries are not serious. The others did not require hospitalization.

Suspect Apprehension and Investigation

The suspect was incapacitated and arrested near the Kabaty metro station. Police recovered a machete and brass knuckles from his possession. Initial findings suggest the man claimed he was being harassed and wiretapped by government services. The case has been referred to the prosecutor’s office, which will determine formal charges.
