Australian Space Agency Identifies Mystery Spheres Found on Beach

The Australian Space Agency has confirmed that six mysterious spherical objects discovered on Forrest Beach are remnants of a foreign rocket that recently re-entered the Earth’s atmosphere from orbit.

“The location and characteristics of the objects indicate debris originating from a foreign launch vehicle that recently re-entered the atmosphere from orbit,” the Australian Space Agency stated in a post on X on Monday, July 6.

Security measures on Forrest Beach

Authorities have discovered six sphere-shaped objects on Forrest Beach and established a 50-meter safety zone around the site. The Australian Space Agency has coordinated with Queensland officials and the National Emergency Management Agency regarding the recovery and assessment of these items.

Warnings against contact

The agency warned that more such objects could be discovered in the future. Officials emphasized that the public should never touch, move, or collect suspected space debris, noting that all such items should be treated as dangerous until deemed otherwise by experts. Anyone finding similar objects is advised to move away and contact emergency services.
