An 18-year-old woman was hospitalized with injuries after falling from the roof of a train near Parzniew, Poland, on May 3rd.
Incident Report Received
Emergency services received a report at 8:22 PM on May 3rd regarding a person on the roof of KM 91990 train traveling from Skierniewice to Warsaw Wschodnia. The train’s engineer also received a similar report from another engineer.
The train was stopped following the initial report. Two minutes later, emergency services were informed that the individual had fallen onto the tracks.
Victim’s Condition
The injured person was identified as an 18-year-old woman. She sustained injuries consistent with contact with high-voltage power lines and injuries from the fall, including fractures.
Despite her injuries, the woman was conscious and transported to a hospital. Her life was not in immediate danger.
Alcohol Involvement Suspected
Rescuers detected a strong odor of alcohol on the injured woman. Sources indicate she was on the train roof with others who had been consuming alcohol, and these individuals left the scene before emergency services arrived.
Police Investigation Underway
Police will investigate the incident to determine the exact sequence of events, the nature of the incident, and the circumstances that led to the 18-year-old being on the train roof.
