Truck Collision on S7 Route Injures Two, Disrupts Traffic

A serious accident involving two DAF trucks on the S7 route near Dąbek, Mława County, on April 23rd left two injured and halted traffic.

Accident Details

On Thursday, April 23rd, around 2:20 AM, a severe collision occurred on the S7 route in the Stupsk municipality, near Dąbek in Mława County, involving two DAF trucks.

The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles, and traffic heading towards Gdańsk was suspended.

Damage and Injuries

Initial reports indicate that one semi-trailer detached from its tractor and overturned into a ditch. The cab of the second vehicle sustained substantial damage.

Two individuals were injured, one seriously. The injured were transported to hospitals in Mława and Ciechanów.

Traffic Diversion

Following the accident, the S7 expressway towards Gdańsk was blocked. A detour was established via the Żurominek junction, then along provincial road No. 587 to the Mława Wschód junction.

Drivers faced longer travel times and difficulties on local roads leading back to the expressway.

Ongoing Operations

As of a 9:20 AM update, emergency services and tow trucks were still working at the scene to clear the wreckage. The operation was ongoing, and full reopening of the route required further technical and cleanup work.

Investigation Launched

The circumstances of the accident will be investigated by the relevant authorities. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and monitor current road reports.
