US Singer D4vd Arrested in Connection with Teen’s Death

American alt-pop vocalist D4vd, known for his viral hit “Romantic Homicide,” has been arrested regarding the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

Body Found in Vehicle Registered to Musician

The body of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was discovered on September 8th of last year in a vehicle towed from the Hollywood Hills, registered to the musician.

Hernandez had been missing since 2024 from Lake Elsinore. Police searching the vehicle found two bags containing decomposed human remains.

Investigators believe the teenager may have died in the spring of last year.

Arrest and Legal Defense

21-year-old David Burke, known professionally as D4vd, is currently held without bail. His attorneys stated, “Let’s be clear – the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and did not contribute to her death.”

The lawyers emphasized that no grand jury has issued an indictment and no criminal complaint has been filed, stating Burke was arrested on suspicion only and they will vigorously defend his innocence.

Search of Musician’s Property

In the same month the body was found, a search was conducted at a Hollywood Hills property occupied by the singer, and his computer was seized.

D4vd subsequently canceled the remainder of his concert tour.

US-Iran Tensions

Hope for peace between the US and Iran is mixed with uncertainty, as Donald Trump threatened that if Tehran does not agree to hand over its enriched uranium, the US will deprive it of its reserves “in a much more unfriendly way.”

Rising Star D4vd

D4vd is an American alt-pop singer from Houston who gained popularity with his song “Romantic Homicide” and subsequent releases spanning indie rock, R&B, and lo-fi pop.

His debut album, “Withered,” reached number 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100 last year, and his most popular songs have garnered hundreds of millions of views on YouTube.
