Woman Found Dead in Warsaw Bushes Amid Rising Cold Weather Deaths

A 57-year-old woman was found dead in bushes on Warsaw’s Krakowskie Przedmieście street Friday morning, with authorities considering hypothermia as a possible cause.

Discovery

On Friday morning, around 8:30 AM, at ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 6 in central Warsaw, the body of a woman was discovered in bushes. Services were called to the scene, and the arriving medical rescue team confirmed the death of the 57-year-old.

Information about the body in the bushes reached services around 8:30 AM. After the medical rescuers arrived, it was confirmed the woman had died. The area was secured for investigation.

Victim’s Background

Preliminary findings indicate the deceased was experiencing homelessness and lived outdoors, frequently sleeping in this spot on cardboard, covered with a blanket and jacket.

Investigation Details

Hypothermia is preliminarily considered a possible cause of death, though an autopsy may reveal another cause. Police officers worked at the scene under the supervision of a prosecutor, with the exact circumstances to be clarified during the investigation.
