The 2025 Warsaw holiday illumination will light up key streets on Wednesday, December 3 at 6 p.m., marking the third and final season of the retro‑style display.
Launch Date and Scope
The lights will turn on at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 3 December 2025, illuminating the Royal Route, Świętokrzyska, Chmielna, and the Old and New Town streets with thousands of retro‑styled lamps.
Installation Process
Decoration assembly began in early November, starting with frames and light structures on the Royal Route that are now being refined with detailed elements. The city confirmed the official launch date in a municipal press release.
Retro 50s-60s Theme
The 2025 illumination showcases motifs from the 1950s‑60s, including vintage saturators, commercial scales, dial phones, radios, and television sets. Icons such as the “Autom Warszawa,” “Syrena,” and “Ryś” motor‑motor biked feature as large, spatial installations.
Lighting Details and Sustainability
All lighting uses energy‑efficient LED technology and the overall installation is temporary, scheduled to be deactivated in February 2026. The city noted that the three‑year contract covers only the current retro style.
