Catalytic Converter Theft Attempt Foiled; Two Detained

Police intervened in Warsaw’s Jerozolimskie Avenue on April 16th, arresting two individuals attempting to steal a catalytic converter from a parked car.

Police Intervention Following Suspicious Activity

Police responded to a report of suspicious individuals near cars on a parking lot in Jerozolimskie Avenue, near the PKP and WKD railway overpasses, on Thursday, April 16th, around 2:30 PM.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two people attempting to remove a catalytic converter from a parked vehicle.

Alerted by Witness

The intervention was initiated after a witness alerted police to the suspicious behavior around parked cars in the vicinity of the railway overpasses.

Suspects’ Explanation Dismissed

One of the detained individuals claimed they were trying to start the car at the request of a friend, but police did not accept this explanation.

Ongoing Investigation

Both individuals have been detained for further questioning. The investigation is ongoing, and details regarding potential charges will be released in the coming days.
