On Friday, February 6, 2026, shortly after 10:00 AM, a tragic accident occurred on Leśna Street in Rembertów (Piasecz County), involving passenger cars and trucks. The driver of a Fiat Seicento was killed.

Initial findings indicate that the driver of a Fiat Seicento, for unknown reasons, veered from their lane and collided head-on with a Mercedes truck. Following this impact, another Fiat Seicento driver struck the vehicle ahead. Subsequently, a Renault truck driver rear-ended the Mercedes truck involved in the initial collision.

Possible Cause

A preliminary consideration is that the Fiat Seicento driver may have fainted at the wheel, causing the lane departure and head-on collision. Despite resuscitation efforts, an approximately 80-year-old man was pronounced dead by a doctor.

Investigation and Traffic Disruptions

The other three drivers involved were sober. Multiple fire brigades, two medical rescue teams, and police under prosecutor supervision are at the scene.
