Firefighter from Płock City Fire Brigade Saves Woman’s Life

On the evening of September 19, 2025, a firefighter from Płock’s City Fire Brigade rescued a woman who jumped into the Vistula River.

A call was received at the Płock City Fire Brigade’s command center reporting a person jumping from a bridge into the Vistula River. Two teams from Fire Rescue Unit No. 2 responded, including Senior Firefighter Kamil Mazurkiewicz, who swiftly took action to save the woman.

Swift Action and Rescue

Thanks to the firefighter’s rapid reaction and determination, the woman was safely pulled from the water and handed over to medical emergency services.

The woman survived the critical incident and is currently under medical care.
