From 1–4 November, Poland’s Parliament Chair, Szymon Hołownia, spent 58,998 PLN on flights and lodging for his Ethiopia visit, a cost shared with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Flight tickets amounted to 43,941.64 PLN and accommodation 15,042.55 PLN, totaling 58,998 PLN for the four‑day Ethiopia trip.
The Parliamentary Office announced the figures in a statement to the media, noting that the cost was shared with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which covered meals and the organization of the diplomatic meeting in Addis Ababa.
Diplomatic Engagements
During the visit, Hołownia met with the Chairman of the Permanent Committee on Foreign Affairs and Peace Affairs of the House of Representatives, Dr. Dima Negewo; the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador Hader Aba; and the Special Representative of the UN Secretary‑General to the African Union, Parfait Onanga‑Anyanga.
He explained that the trip was a parliamentary visit linked to his candidacy for UN High Commissioner for Refugees, emphasizing that parliamentary diplomacy and campaign objectives were intertwined.
