Emergency services searching for person who jumped from Warsaw’s Siekierkowski Bridge into the Vistula River.
Incident Details
Before 6 PM on Siekierkowski Bridge in Warsaw, services began action after a report indicated that an unknown person had jumped into the Vistula. According to witness accounts, the person jumped over the railing, fell into the river, and after a moment disappeared under the water’s surface.
Emergency Response
Emergency services were dispatched immediately to the scene. Currently in the bridge area, five fire department units are operating, including a specialized water-diving group from JRG and an operational city group. The operation is using two firefighters’ boats, and river police patrol is also supporting the activities.
Ongoing Search
Searches are being conducted both from the water and from the embankment and the bridge itself. So far, no one has been found. Services are checking the Vistula area indicated by witnesses and are establishing the detailed circumstances of the incident.
