Man Drowns During Bridge Construction in Jeziorzany

A 78-year-old man died after falling into a reservoir while working on a bridge construction project in Jeziorzany, Piaseczno County, on Wednesday evening.

The tragic accident occurred around 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 29th, on Spacerowa Street in Jeziorzany, Piaseczno County.

Initial findings indicate the 78-year-old man was working on the construction of a bridge when he fell into the water for unknown reasons. Rescue efforts were unsuccessful.

Firefighters and police officers were dispatched to the scene and operated under the supervision of a prosecutor.

The man’s body was recovered and transported to the Forensic Medicine Institute in Radom.

Preliminary assessments suggest the incident was an accidental drowning, but police, under the supervision of the prosecutor, are investigating all causes and circumstances.

Since April 1st, a total of 15 people have drowned across Poland.
