A Deputy District Police Commander in Warsaw was dismissed from his position after being involved in a traffic collision while under the influence of alcohol on April 22nd.

The Warsaw IV District Police reported the dismissal of the Deputy District Police Commander from his post.
The decision follows a traffic incident that occurred Wednesday evening, April 22nd. While off-duty, the officer collided with another vehicle while driving.
A blood sample was taken for further analysis, revealing the officer was driving under the influence of alcohol.
Further Consequences
In addition to the dismissal, the Warsaw Police Chief has initiated disciplinary proceedings and a procedure for suspension and expulsion from the service.
The officer will also face criminal charges.
