Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar has reached Warsaw to begin the official phase of his visit, which includes key meetings with Polish leadership in Warsaw and a trip to Gdańsk.
Arrival and Private Beginnings
The Hungarian Prime Minister arrived at Warsaw West station on Tuesday, following earlier reports suggesting he would arrive at Warsaw Central. This marks the start of the official portion of his visit to Poland.
The trip originally began in Kraków, where Magyar arrived on a commercial flight for the private segment of his visit. While in Kraków, he toured the city and remarked that choosing Poland for his first foreign visit is intentional, signaling a desire to restore Polish-Hungarian relations to their former high level.
During his time in Kraków, Magyar visited Wawel Cathedral, met with Metropolitan Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski, and paid respects at historical sites, including the tomb of King Stefan Batory. He has previously stated that post-power transition in Budapest, the relationship between the two capitals must be restructured.

The official visit will span Warsaw and Gdańsk, with Hungarian ministers joining the delegation on Wednesday, May 20. The schedule includes several high-level meetings.
On Wednesday at 10:00 AM, Magyar is set to meet with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, followed by a joint press conference at 11:00 AM. Subsequently, he will meet with President Karol Nawrocki, a critical component of the official itinerary.
